The Scholarship Program Research Network (SPRN) brings together those who study and evaluate scholarship programmes (both international and domestic) across the world. It is comprised of programme administrators, programme evaluators, academics and graduate students, independent consultants, and others interested in scholarship programmes.
The purpose of the SPRN is to connect individuals and organisations across sectoral and geographical divides, to share new resources and publications, and to provide a forum for exchange both informally (on LinkedIn) and formally. SPRN group members aim to convene at conferences, develop special interest groups, and find other opportunities to build the network offline and online. We also aim to share resources related to scholarship programme research with relevant organisations and professional networks, such as regional special interest groups and policymaking forums.
The group was founded and is currently managed by Aryn Baxter (Arizona State University), Anne Campbell (Middlebury Institute for International Studies), Mirka Martel (Institute of International Education), and Matt Mawer (formerly of The Association of Commonwealth Universities). Please feel free to contact one of the managers for more information: contact details available though LinkedIn (or email me directly).
The network maintains a shared bibliography of international scholarship programme literature and evaluations and encourages participants to share research for inclusion in the bibliography.
A master library of content is maintained through a Zotero Group. Copies of the bibliography in a variety of file formats – RIS, BibTex, Microsoft Word (docx) and Excel (xlsx) – can be downloaded through our public Google Drive folder. Please note that the master library in Zotero is current, whereas the copies for download in Google Drive are periodically refreshed and so may be missing a couple of very recent references.
